The Diagnostic Services consists of around 20 labs and units and over 90 employees.
Nearly twenty professors and clinical veterinarians are working on all aspects of animal pathology diagnosis, epidemiology, food safety and public health.
These professionals are assisted by graduate students and over thirty technical and clerical workers.
As part of a major restructuring process that started in 2005, our labs have been standardized with a new computer system and the purchase new equipments that meet the highest standards. The SD can now boast about being state-of-the-art.
Some of the achievements of the Diagnostic Service include obtaining accreditation from the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians (AAVLD) and holding Kaizen events for several of its labs.
